Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is boba?

    • Originally from Taiwan, boba is made from cassava root, boiled in water as pearls, and then coated in our house made honey syrup. They are round and squishy and sit at the bottom of the drinks. On their own, they have a faintly sweet taste, but our syrup brings out the flavor to complement any drink you pair it with. Boba is also gluten-free, so those with allergies can enjoy our drinks as well.

  2. What is the difference between blended and iced drinks?

    • Blended drinks have the consistency of smoothies, and iced drinks have the consistency of your standard cup of tea.

  3. When are store hours?

    • Our current hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 11:30AM to 7:00PM, Wednesday from 10:30AM to 7:00PM, Friday and Saturday from 11:30AM from 8:00PM, and Sunday from 11:30AM to 6:00PM. Our hours are subject to change depending on a variety of factors, such as customer traffic, seasons, renovations, and other circumstances. Please see our latest blog post to learn more about our varying closing times regarding the recent boba shortage.

  4. Can dairy flavors become non-dairy?

    • Yes! You can substitute our standard creamer for almond or soy milk. You can also add creamer to any of our non-dairy flavors for a creamier drink.

  5. Can flavors be mixed?

    • Yes! Any combination of dairy or non-dairy flavors can be mixed into both blended and over ice drinks.

  6. What is taro and what does it taste like?

    • Taro is a root vegetable originally from Asia. The root itself has a texture and appearance similar to potato, with brown outer skin and white flesh on the inside. In store, taro is officially dubbed the “purple drink.” The taste is something similar to sweet potato, with nutty undertones. It’s definitely one of our most popular flavors.

  7. Do we have a peach flavored drink?

    • No, unfortunately we do not.

  8. Why have we started charging for boba?

    • Due to the recent boba shortage, we have started to charge $0.75 for boba. Please see our menu for further boba pricing, and our most recent blog post for more information on the shortage.

  9. Do we still accept stamp cards?

    • Yes we do. However, we are switching to Five Star’s phone rewards system. You can continue to use all the stamp cards you still have, but once you run out, we ask that you sign up for the online rewards system, which you can join in-store. Every dollar you spend earns you a point, and at 70 points, you are eligible to receive a free drink. If you pay on the kiosk, please indicate your dollar total so that we can log your points.

  10. Do we have gift cards?

    • No, we currently do not carry gift cards. We apologize if this is of any inconvenience to you.

  11. Do we carry mini, popping, or crystal boba?

    • No, currently we do not.

  12. How can I get a perks drink?

    • Our perks rewards system is a way for you to earn a free drink the more you spend. Monday through Thursday, you have a choice of buying five small or large drinks for a sixth free, or four big drinks for a fifth free.
